thank you!!

thanks to everyone who supported me in the diabetes walk! I was able to raise $150 for the cause, and Katie and I walked our little bums off today! woot! I even got to wear an OML lab coat. Good times it was!

my car is clean, although it still smells a little funny (to me!). I think I may go buy an air freshner.

luvs!

REMINDER!!

Since Katie posted on here, I wanted to remind you that I too am participating in the Eugene Walk for Diabetes on October 7, 2006. I would really appreciate your support for this event ... as my mother, two of my uncles, and one of my aunts suffer from Type II diabetes. I also have friends who suffer from Type I diabetes, and I've watched them struggle throughout the years with this debilitating disorder. Due to this, I consider diabetes research to be a very important cause, and am thankful and excited that I can take part in this walk.

I completely understand if you are unable to support me or any other walker (e.g., Katie Moss!). However, for those of you who can, even a small donation (as little as $1!!) will help fund the American Diabetes Association in their search for a cure for diabetes.

AND, since I know many of you cannot support both me and Katie, just know that I will not feel slighted or offended if you sponsor her over me!! :) I will be absolutely thrilled that you feel as strongly about this cause as we do!

If you want to sponsor me, you can visit my website:

http://main.diabetes.org/site/TR?px=2938932&pg=personal&fr_id=4075&s_tafId=66641

...or contact me for instructions on how to send check or cash.

Oh, and if any of you want to walk for diabetes too, there is still time to sign up!!

thank you!!

help support me on a walk!!

hey friends ...

so I've decided to participate in the Diabetes Walk that will be held in Eugene, OR on Saturday October 7, 2006. This cause is extremely important because so many Americans suffer from diabetes. In fact, several of my family members and friends have lived with this disorder for years.

It would be great to have your support! There are two ways you could help me:

1) Join me on the walk! It will be a saturiday morning in October (walk starts at 10am with an 8:30 am check-in). It is a 5 mile walk, AND you get the benefit of not only a beautiful outing on a lovely Eugene day, but you can support an increasingly important cause. If you're interested let me know! :-)

2) Support me with a small donation. You can sponsor me by going to the following website:
http://walk.diabetes.org/site/PageServer?pagename=AWD_homepage
Once at the website, simply click on the 'Sponsor a Walker' tab, select Oregon, choose Eugene, and then search for me! Any support you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all for taking the time to read this message!

My lj is 1 year old today. Happy Birthday LJ! Maybe I should party in honor of it...well, ya know, any excuse to go out and have a little fun. ;)

Yeah, nothing really to say. Must go to sleep soon, as I will be running older adult subjects for six hours straight in the morning. eep!

Went to my back doctor...he said the fusion is solid, so I guess the metal is officially permanent. ;) Good times! He said I shouldn't necessarily have to limit my activities, except to those that are painful, but that's just common sense.

I've been really craving a McMenamins Ruby...hmm...

and with that...goodnight! :)

a long time coming...

So, this is going to be my last public entry for an indefinite amount of time. Unless I have something extremely important to report upon, I am making my journal FRIENDS ONLY. In part because most of my entries are already locked, and this way I won't have to worry about who is reading my journal.

I, however, may be too lazy to go back and lock all my previous entries...but we'll see.

If someone reads or comes across my journal and wants to be added as a friend, leave a comment.
